Kenya: Protests, the President and the Supply Chain

Kenya's Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga said police shot seven of the opposition party's supporters Jan. 17 during demonstrations in the country's capital. The final day of a planned three-day demonstration probably will not dislodge the government of President Mwai Kibaki on Jan. 18, but the stalemate probably will continue disruptions to the supply chain in western Kenay and the Great Lakes region of Africa.
