North Korea's state news agency took this photograph, released March 28, 2018, of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un (L) meeting in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two leaders managed to keep the meeting a surprise for the rest of the world.

The visit may have been a surprise, but it doesn't necessarily portend a change in the situation. What it likely signaled was that the Chinese president wasn't happy with the way things were going on the Korean Peninsula....
