Summary

Russia was hit particularly hard by the global economic crisis. The crisis and its aftermath have given rise to a force that wants to use the economic crisis as an opportunity to reshape Russia. This force is led by the civiliki, a group of lawyers and technocrats including Russian President Dmitri Medvedev. As the civiliki attempt to carry out their plans, a new round of conflict between Russia's political clans will erupt.
