Leaks from Colombia's Internal Intelligence Agency

Thousands of documents from Colombian internal intelligence agency the Administrative Department of Security (DAS) have been leaked to the media, a powerful Colombian drug lord and an unspecified country, likely Venezuela. While the political ramifications of the leak are unclear, and while the leak may have endangered individuals within the organization, the DAS is known to be one of Colombia's least secure, most corrupt agencies, and it had already been slated for dissolution before the end of 2011. With other intelligence agencies already responsible for critical operations in the country, the actual damage to Colombia's national intelligence apparatus is likely minimal.
