Lebanon: Turkey, Israel and the Syrian Plan

Summary

With a Syrian troop buildup on the Lebanese border continuing and attacks escalating on both sides of the border, the Syrian plan to reconstitute its prowess in Lebanon is in full motion. STRATFOR has received indications that the Turks — and perhaps even the Israelis — have given their private consent to the Syrian plan. Though this information is not confirmed, it is logical given the geopolitical forces currently in motion in the Levant.
