Mexico's La Familia Cartel Disbands

Banners appeared across Mexico's Michoacan and Guerrero states announcing that La Familia Michoacana (LFM) is disbanding because of false accusations leveled against the organization by the federal government and rival cartels. Although LFM has experienced setbacks in its operational capabilities, and despite the announcements of the organization's disbanding, the criminal threat in Michoacan and Guerrero is not likely to decrease in the short term.
