With the Aug. 25 signing of a series of landmark agreements spanning uranium, loans and railways, Russia and Mongolia have renewed long-standing ties that have put China on notice. Russia and China have at different times had extensive influence in the landlocked nation, which Mongolia is in a position to exploit.
