Musharraf: New Cabinet, Old Agenda

A newly expanded Cabinet was sworn in Sept. 1 in Pakistan. This mix of ministers includes technocratic appointees and individuals from various political factions loyal to President Gen. Pervez Musharraf. This finalizes Musharraf's bid to secure the civilian component of his regime as he moves to transform the country's political system from a parliamentary form of government to a civil-military hybrid.
