Nazarbayev and the Succession Crisis in Kazakhstan

An adviser to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said that the longtime president most likely will seek another term in office, rather than exit his post at the end of 2010 as previously rumored. The move appears to be a bid to quell intense infighting surrounding his succession, for which no plan exists.
