Nicaragua: A Fresh Infusion of Russian Support

The Russian ambassador to Nicaragua announced Sept. 25 that Russia would replace Nicaragua's aging Soviet-era military equipment. If the deal goes through, it will further solidify an emerging realignment toward Russia, which is growing more interested in keeping the United States off balance in its own backyard.
