Pakistan: A Military With a Country

The future is looking just a little brighter for former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's. Pakistan's ruling party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), reinstated him as party leader on Oct. 3. The announcement came a day after the PML-N used its majority in the Pakistani parliament, the National Assembly, to pass the Electoral Reforms Bill 2017, enabling the disbarred prime minister to assume party leadership.
