Pakistan: Ousted Prime Minister Indicted

The scandal engulfing Pakistani politics, stemming from an investigation triggered by the Panama Papers leak, has already cost Nawaz Sharif his role as prime minister. But on Oct. 19 there was another development: An accountability court indicted Sharif on corruption charges, as well as his daughter and son in-law. The family has pleaded not guilty. Still, the indictment marks the opening of a new chapter in a scandal that has already affected Pakistani politics dramatically....
