Summary
Taliban militants blew up a bridge on the main NATO supply route in northwestern Pakistan on Feb. 3, disrupting traffic. This is the first time the Taliban have attacked infrastructure in order to create a breakdown in the NATO supply chain, and it shows the extent of Pakistan's unreliability as a supply route. The attack comes as the United States is working to refocus its efforts in Afghanistan, and as Pakistan's relevance to the U.S. effort continues to shrink.
