Philippines: Last-Minute Threats of 'People Power'

Philippine presidential candidate Fernando Poe Jr. raised the possibility of a "People Power" movement hours before his bid for the nation's highest office was officially declared lost. Philippine voters do not appear to be in mood for another extra-constitutional political transition, but continued pressure from Poe supporters and other opposition factions could be useful in achieving political gains.
