Summary
Political and economic turmoil is threatening the survival of the government in Poland, which for years had been relatively insulated from the European crisis. Four days of protests culminated with a large demonstration in Warsaw on Sept. 14, as tens of thousands criticized the government for mishandling the economy. Despite the protests, the Polish government will not fall in the short term, though the ruling party will adjust its policy agenda to regain the support it appears to have lost.
