The Politics Behind Slovakia's EFSF Vote

Slovakia's government will meet Oct. 4 in an attempt to reach an agreement on the expansion of the revised European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF). Though the path to the EFSF's passage through the Slovak parliament is unclear, the vote is likely to pass. But Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radicova may have to forfeit costly political concessions to secure the necessary votes, a sign of growing political pressures on leaders within eurozone countries.
