Possible U.S. Measures to Limit Weapons Proliferation in Syria

In arming Syrian rebels, the United States and its allies will take several steps to limit the proliferation of weapons they send into unwanted hands. Nevertheless, at least some of these weapons will likely end up in the extremists' control.
