Summary
Since he took office as prime minister, former Russian President Vladimir Putin has been organizing the government underneath him, particularly the Cabinet and the chief positions in Russia's critical sectors. While the Russian Cabinet looks largely unchanged, Putin has made some important shifts that strengthen his position and could end the Kremlin clan war that has preoccupied Russia for years and kept it from consolidating enough to return to its position as a global power.
