Russia, Turkey: Untangling Pipeline Problems

Summary

Europe, Turkey and Russia have signed a range of natural gas project proposals — all of which have geopolitical motivations — in recent weeks. While most of the proposed projects likely are little more than pipe dreams, the Blue Stream agreement between Russia and Turkey is by far the most politically and logistically realistic.
