Russia: When It Comes to the Olympics, Russia Isn't Playing Games

The Olympic Games are a point of contention between the United States and Russia once again. A draft of new counter-sanctions against at least 10 Western individuals is circulating Russia's Federation Council. According to Russia's RBC news agency, the list mainly includes Olympic officials, as well as the U.S. special prosecutor investigating Russia's 2016 election interference, Robert Mueller. The counter-sanctions are a response to the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) decision to bar Russia from participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics following an investigation into a state cover-up surrounding the 2014 Sochi Olympics in Russia that also prompted the IOC to strip Russian athletes of some 13 medals -- taking away the country's medal lead....
