It was a busy weekend for the Saudi military and political establishment, but a lucrative one to be sure. During U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to Riyadh on May 20, the United States and Saudi Arabia signed an extensive arms package worth almost $110 billion, and potentially up to $350 billion over the next decade. The deal provided for a diverse portfolio, including but not limited to the sale of warships, missile defense equipment, helicopters, tanks and thousands of precision guided munitions kits.
