The spotlight is on Saudi Arabia as the kingdom makes bold steps to consolidate power -- and aspirations for the country's future -- in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. By prioritizing the country's economic future, bin Salman hopes to cement Riyadh's place in the region, even if it comes at the expense of familial ties. When the Saudi king eventually steps down, the crown prince stands to inherit a much-bolstered position, largely free of challenges to his authority.
