The South Caucasus: A New 'Great Game' Developing?

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Hu Jintao met March 18 in Beijing and discussed ways to increase economic cooperation between their countries. Though trade between the two remains small, the meeting itself highlights the increasing competition for influence in the South Caucasus.
