South Korea: Back to the Regional Drawing Board

South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun says he will not fight a Constitutional Court ruling that blocked his proposal to relocate the nation's capital. With its ruling, the court not only stopped the controversial relocation of the capital from Seoul to a region farther south, but also toppled a key pillar of Roh's plans to end regional economic disparities and reshape South Korea as a regional economic hub.
