Summary
The South Korean Naro Space Center on the country's southern coast is preparing to launch the first Korea Space Launch Vehicle later this month. The launch window opens Aug. 19. This will be the first satellite launch from South Korean territory (until now, Seoul has relied on Russia for access to space). The occasion is the product of decades of work in missile development and heralds further effort and expansion.
