Summary
An improvised explosive device attack against a U.S. government motorcade May 20 in Peshawar, Pakistan, killed one Pakistani and injured 10 others. When viewed in connection with the May 16 assassination of a Saudi intelligence officer in Karachi, the attack may signal that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has renewed its campaign to target foreign intelligence officers inside Pakistan.
