U.K.: A New and Pricey Flagship for the Royal Navy

The British Ministry of Defense gave written assurance to its shipbuilders May 20 that it would sign a contract worth nearly $8 billion for a pair of 65,000-ton aircraft carriers, which promise both to revitalize the Royal Navy and to challenge the Ministry of Defense.
