U.K.: Why the Saudi Crown Prince Came to London

Saudi Arabia's leadership is hoping for a British boost into the future. On March 7, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began a trip to the United Kingdom. Though the crown prince met with the British royal family, the most important goal of his trip has been to shore up the already strong business relations between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. To do this, Crown Prince Mohammed has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Theresa May, as well as British business leaders and investors, in a campaign to spur interest in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 investment plans. He's expected to find success, as British and Saudi diplomats say they expect deals to be signed with a combined value of up to $100 billion in fields such as finance, education, technology and security cooperation....
