Summary
A district court in Ukraine will issue a verdict Oct. 11 in the trial of former Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, who was charged with abuse of power during her time in office. The fate of Timoshenko comes as President Viktor Yanukovich is trying to sign important agreements with the European Union. Any conviction against the former prime minister will likely complicate Ukraine's integration efforts with the bloc.
