U.S.: Arms Deal To Strengthen Allies in the Middle East

Summary

A new arms deal between the United States and its allies in the Middle East affirms yet again Washington's determination to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. According to The New York Times, the United States is expected to finalize the $10 billion deal with Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates this week. Given that Washington still considers Iran a serious threat, the arms deal should better prepare U.S. allies in the Middle East for a potential conflict.
