U.S., Mexico: Violence Along the Border

U.S. Border Patrol Chief David Aguilar said July 15 that the number of violent incidents between drug traffickers and Border Patrol agents has increased 22 percent so far in 2008, mostly in the El Centro, San Diego and Tucson sectors. While violence along the border is still increasing, the rate of increase is slower than it was in 2007.
