U.S.: Train Detained

Police temporarily detained a Washington-to-New York Amtrak train in Newark July 22 while authorities questioned passengers, checked identifications, inspected luggage with a metal detector and brought on police dogs. Authorities did not allow anyone to board or leave the train during the inspection, which was described as part of an "active police investigation."
