Venezuela, Russia: Noteworthy New Armor for South America

The late-model Russian BMP-3 infantry combat vehicle could become part of Venezuela’s mechanized infantry forces, according to the deputy general director of the Russian arms export monopoly Rosoboronexport. It would be a significant addition to a South American military — and one Colombia and Brazil are likely to notice.
