French oil and energy company Total said May 16 it might withdraw from a gas project in Iran unless it received a waiver from U.S. sanctions following President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal. It will likely deal a significant blow to Tehran if Total leaves the multibillion-dollar gas project.
