Conservative forces in Germany are not happy with their government's handling of the the Greek crisis and the immigration crisis. Their political resistance will shape Germany's domestic and foreign policy in 2016 and, more visibly, after the general elections of 2017. Within two years, conservative and mildly Euroskeptic forces are likely to rule both Germany and France. Berlin and Paris will continue to have different visions for the future of the European Union. However, rather than debating the process of continental integration to avoid new crises, by the end of this decade the two governments will be discussing how to reverse some aspects of the European Union to try to preserve it....
