Thomas Vien was an East Asia analyst at Stratfor, where he wrote on everything from China's anti-corruption campaign to Japanese intelligence reforms. Prior to joining Stratfor, he worked as a researcher at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Mr. Vien is a fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's in international affairs from Texas A&M University.
