Onnik James Krikorian is a freelance journalist, photojournalist and media consultant from the United Kingdom who has been based in the South Caucasus since 1998. He has covered the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh since first visiting the disputed territory for The Independent newspaper in 1994. Since 2009 he has also trained journalists and activists from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as the breakaway territories of Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh and South Ossetia, in conflict-sensitive reporting.

He has been an external media and communications consultant for the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Free Press Unlimited (FPU), Deutsche Welle, and others. His work on alternative and counternarratives in Identity Based Violence (IBV) conflict zones has led to his involvement in various expert working groups on Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) since 2013.
