Colombia: President Suspends Peace Talks With Guerrilla Group

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos suspended talks with Colombian guerrilla group the National Liberation Army (ELN), Colombia Reports said Jan. 29. Santos said talks would remain suspended until there is a coherence between words and actions. The ELN announced that attacks would continue until a bilateral ceasefire is agreed upon. From Jan. 27-28, the ELN conducted three attacks targeting police, killing seven officers and injuring 50 others.
