Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood Postpones Protest

The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood decided to postpone a mass protest it had scheduled for Nov. 27 in Cairo, an official from the group's Freedom and Justice Party said Nov. 26, Reuters reported. The Brotherhood postponed the protest in order to prevent violence, the official said. Widespread demonstrations against Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi's Nov. 22 presidential decree, in which he granted himself broad authority over the judiciary, have been held across the country over the past few days.
