EU: French, German Ministers To Discuss European Intervention Force

The French and German defense ministers are meeting April 5 in Paris to discuss plans for a rapid European intervention force that would be deployed in June, EUObserver reported, citing Reuters. The force will exist outside of current EU defense initiatives and envisions the participation of a post-Brexit United Kingdom. Increased defense and security cooperation among European countries will continue to be a priority for the bloc.
