Honduras: Opposition Groups Call on President to Resign After U.S. Court Verdict

Why It Matters: The court's verdict on the influence of drug money in Honduras will raise pressure on U.S. lawmakers and the White House to take a tougher stance on the country despite a decision by the Trump administration to resume financial aid last week.

Background: The United States said last week it would resume financial assistance to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador after Washington signed asylum cooperation agreements with all three countries over the past months.
