Iran: U.S. Offers To Free Up Small Share Of Frozen Assets

The United States has offered to release a small portion of the roughly $45 billion in Iranian assets frozen in international banks, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Nov. 14 in an interview with MSNBC, AFP reported. Kerry said about 95 percent of existing sanctions would remain in place. If the nuclear issue were resolved and the sanctions removed, the prospect of a new U.S.-Iranian relationship would have to be taken seriously.
