Israel: U.S. Rejects Idea Of Iran Strike

The United States has turned down "at the highest level" a request by Israel for military equipment and support to attack Iranian nuclear facilities, and has advised Israel not to attack, Haaretz reported Aug. 13, without citing sources. Top U.S. officials said an attack on Iran would undermine U.S. interests, refused to allow Israel to use Iraqi airspace for such an attack and insisted Israel provide the United States with warning before carrying out any potential strike, the report said.
