Libya: Weekend Death Toll Mounts To More Than 50

Clashes in Benghazi between Libya Special Forces and Islamist militants left at least 36 people dead July 26 and 27, including many civilians, Yahoo News reported. The deaths follow those of 23 Egyptian workers who were killed July 26 when a rocket hit their home in Tripoli during fighting between two rival militant groups struggling for control of the airport. These deaths contribute to an overall death toll that marks Libya's deadliest violence since the 2011 war that ousted Moammar Gadhafi.
