Mali: Al Qaeda Responsible For U.N. Attack

Al Qaeda-affiliated jihadist group Al-Mourabitoun claimed responsibility for a suicide attack on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali, AFP reported April 17. The attack killed two civilians and wounded nine peacekeepers from Niger. Al-Mourabitoun said that the attack was in response to Niger's show of solidarity with Paris following the Charlie Hebdo attack in January
