Russia, U.S.: Kremlin Rejects 26 Of 29 Peace Provisions For Ukraine

Russia's top presidential aide, Vladislav Surkov, said that Russia rejected 26 of the United States' 29 provisions related to a proposed U.N. Security Council resolution to establish a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, Unian reported Nov. 14. Surkov met with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker on Nov. 13. A joint statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Russia confirmed that the two countries will continue to work toward a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Donbas.
