Tunisia: Clashes Continue In Siliana

Clashes between police and protesters in the Tunisian town of Siliana continued for the fourth consecutive day, AFP reported Nov. 30. Thousands of people have gathered in the town calling for the governor's resignation and increased financial aid, and several hundred people have been injured in the clashes. Tunisia's central government has faced increasing pushback from both Salafists and local groups frustrated with the slow pace of reforms and economic development after the ouster of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in January 2011....
