U.S.: 2 Russian Spies, 2 Criminals Indicted For Yahoo Hack

The U.S. Justice Department has charged four people including two officers of the Russian Federal Security Service with a major computer hack against Yahoo in 2014, according to an official release on the Justice Department's website. The four men face a slew of charges related to the hack, which allowed them to steal information from more than 500 million Yahoo accounts. They were able to access accounts belonging Russian journalists and U.S. and Russian government officials, among others, the department said. The rise of the internet and related technologies has transformed the world, revolutionizing nearly all aspects of everyday life, including crime.
