U.S.: U.N. Security Council To Vote On New Sanctions Against North Korea

The U.N. Security Council will vote Sept. 11 on the U.S.-led effort to impose fresh sanctions against North Korea after its latest nuclear test, Yahoo News reported Sept. 10. The United States released a revised draft for the new sanctions on Sept. 10, making concessions to Russia and China. North Korea conducted its sixth nuclear test on Sept. 3 when it detonated what some in the international community suspected to be a hydrogen bomb.
