Yemen: Houthi Rebels, Saudi-Led Coalition Agree to First Phase of Force Redeployment Around al-Hudaydah

What Happened: Houthi rebels and the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen have agreed to implement the first phase of force redeployment around al-Hudaydah, according to an April 15 announcement by the United Nations.

Why It Matters: Progress on force redeployment around al-Hudaydah might allow the warring parties to engage in additional talks to terminate the military phase in Yemen's civil conflict.
